Furobox Vault for desktop
Save a login once and fill it in your browser next time. Your vault is encrypted on your own device with a master password we never see.
Install the app
Then add the browser extension
Furobox Vault for your browser
The app stores your logins. The extension is what puts them into a page. It holds no keys and keeps nothing of its own: it asks the app each time, and the app asks you. Install it on the same computer as the app.
Windows and macOS only
The vault leans on the operating system to protect the key that unlocks it: Windows Hello, and the Keychain on a Mac. There is no equivalent we would trust with a password vault on other desktops yet, so we would rather not ship one than ship a weaker one.
How your vault is protected
- Encrypted on your device before it syncs. What reaches our servers is a blob we cannot open.
- Two things are needed to unlock it: your master password, and a secret key stored on the device. Neither alone is enough.
